1. Information We Collect
Store Information
When you install Pick & Pack, we access the following data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API:
- Store name and domain
- Order data (order details, line items, fulfillment status)
- Product data (titles, SKUs, barcodes, variants, images)
- Location data (warehouse and fulfillment locations)
- Inventory information
Staff Information
If you use our Staff Portal feature, we collect:
- Staff member names and email addresses (as entered by the store owner)
- Picking and packing activity logs
- Performance metrics related to warehouse operations
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain usage information, including:
- App feature usage and interaction patterns
- Batch processing and fulfillment activity
- Error logs for troubleshooting purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Order Processing: Syncing, batching, picking, packing, and fulfilling orders
- Product Management: Displaying product details, barcodes, and bin locations during warehouse operations
- Analytics: Providing warehouse performance dashboards and operational insights to store owners
- Staff Management: Enabling staff portal access for picking and packing workflows
- Fulfillment: Marking orders as fulfilled and triggering customer notifications through Shopify
- App Improvement: Diagnosing issues and improving app performance
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or store data with third parties. Your data is only transmitted to:
- Shopify: To sync orders, products, and fulfillment status via the Shopify API
- Hosting Provider: Our servers securely store your data for app functionality
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to your customers, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard protections. We implement the following security measures:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure authentication via Shopify OAuth and session tokens
- Token-based access for staff portal with unique 64-character tokens
- Regular security reviews and updates
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall Pick & Pack:
- All store data, orders, products, and staff records associated with your store are permanently deleted
- Analytics and activity logs are removed
- Staff portal access tokens are invalidated
Data deletion is processed automatically upon receiving the app uninstall webhook from Shopify.
6. GDPR Compliance
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's mandatory privacy requirements. We support the following data subject requests:
- Customer Data Request: We can provide all data stored about a specific customer upon request
- Customer Data Erasure: We will delete all data associated with a specific customer upon request
- Shop Data Erasure: All shop data is deleted when the app is uninstalled
These requests are handled automatically through Shopify's GDPR webhook system.
7. Cookies
Pick & Pack uses only essential session cookies required for authentication and app functionality within the Shopify admin. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.
8. Your Rights
As a user of Pick & Pack, you have the right to:
- Access the data we store about your store
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Uninstall the app, which triggers automatic data deletion
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
